Say Cheese!!!

On Monday evening our dear friend Shanna took us to the Golden Gate Bridge for an Engagement picture session!! For those of you who know San Francisco, you know that the weather is ALWAYS freezing and the sun is rarely out. Especially at 5:45 pm!! Aaron and I saw these matching outfits and thought they would be great for the pics!! Too bad the outfits were more for a Southern California venue!! We had a blast and laughed the whole time! It was so cold and the wind was blowing like crazy, so my hair kept getting stuck in my lip gloss. We think Shanna did an amazing job and are so thankful that she did this for us!!! Love ya Shanna!

I am an Addict!!!

Don't get the wrong idea by reading the title of this blog. Many people are addicted to drugs, alcohol, shopping, food, and many other crazy things. But my addiction is so strange, and yet quite embarrassing. I am addicted to checking my wedding registry online. Do you know how hard it was for me to just admit that? I mean, how crazy am I? I have had one bridal shower, and am about to have another one this Saturday, and then the wedding to top it off. I really do want to be surprised about what gifts I am getting, but I just cannot seem to stop peaking!!! It is all I think about sitting here at work all day, while staring at the computer!! I have such a strong desire to look! It is sickening! I think I might have to ask my boss to restrict my computer from going to http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/ !!!! Do they have a type of therapy I can attend to overcome my addiction???

My first bridal shower!!

On Saturday June 7th I had my first bridal shower!! Aaron, along with the help of his mom and sister threw it for me. It was at this cute little mexican restaurant in Burlingame called Hola's! The theme was totally me!! Hot pink, zebra, and diamonds!! I couldn't have asked for a better shower!! The cake was by far the cutest cake I have ever seen!! My fabulous fiance got that all on his own!! He did such a great job!! We played a few fun games! Aaron thought it would be funny to blind fold me and have me feel 5 different legs that belonged to random men that were in the restaurant!! I had to try and guess which leg was Aaron's! It was hilarious, and even more funny that I picked the wrong leg!! They also set up an advice tree for me, and all of my guests wrote down words of wisdom for Aaron and I!! I got amazing gifts too and it was sooooo fun opening them!! Do you see the white granny panties hanging in the background of the bottom picture?? One of the crafts was for my guests to decorate the panties with puff paints and markers!! It was such a fun idea and some of the panties are hilarious!!! Some got creative and made thongs! Overall, it was amazing and I am so blessed to have such fabulous people in my life!! Thanks for everything guys!!

No more drama!

Do you ever feel that your life is like a soap opera?? I am supposed to be planning the most exciting day of my life. To this point, it has been everything but exciting! For those of you who don't know, I don't really get a long to well with any of my immediate family (except for my brother). My dad, has a terminal illness. Along with that, comes a mental illness filled with rage and spite. He is doing everything in his power to cancel my wedding and I couldn't tell you why if you asked. It is painful for me that I have to parent my parents. My whole life has been a roller coaster. One week everyone gets along, the next day, they hate eachother. Boundaries have been seriously crossed and there is no turning back. How many chances do you HAVE to give someone, simply because they are your parents? All I can say is thank god for faith based counseling. Without that, Aaron and I would be utterly and completely insane. (Well more so than we are now!) Despite all the drama and negativity, I am keeping my head held high! This Saturday is my first bridal shower!! I am soooo excited! My wonderful fiance, along with his fabulous sister and mother are busy putting it together!! I am so lucky to have them. I notice how everyone's blogs are so happy and cheerful....I needed to post a real honest, not so fabulous post...I just needed to vent to anyone who will listen!! Any helpful hints as to how I ignore the negative????
