Weekend Fun

It has been pretty muggy and cold here in the San francisco Bay. We decided to take advantage of Aaron being laid off and drive to the Central Coast to hang out with my Mom and Step Dad. They brought the toy hauler and parked it on the beach at the Oceano Dunes. We had a great time playing on the beach and riding quads. The weather was gorgeous with a high of 75 degrees! I miss living there...I forgot just how beautiful it was. Hopefully one day, Aaron and I can retire there!

FATTY FOREVER! =(

A new year with the same New Years Resolution: Losing Weight. Why do I struggle with this sooo much? I have been into the show, The Biggest Loser for a few years now and now I am hooked on this new MTV show called, I Used to Be Fat. The people on the show are FAT...there is no question about it. They are FAT. I look at them from my couch and I think how I don't really see that much of a difference from how I look and how they look. The point of the show is that they have a big event coming up in their life, like going off to college or something, and they have like 89 days or whatever to get to their goal. At the end they all lose the weight and they look AMAZING. I don't have the money to spend on a trainer and a nutritionist. I KNOW I cannot just "get off the couch" and lose 40 pounds on my own. I need someone to hold me accountable and I just don't have that. I hate being fat more than anything, and you would think if I hated it so much I would just hurry up and do something about it. I don't know what stops me. I am addicted to food and I am addicted to excuses. =( If I were able to lose weight, these are the first things I would do:

Buy a Pair of Joe's Jeans at Nordstrom..they are about $175 bucks and they are what I call "skinny girl jeans"

I would go to a few little boutiquse in San Francisco called Pink Lily, Ambiance, and Bebe and go nuts. (They don't have clothes for people my size)

A girl can dream. =/

Merry Christmas to me!

This is my Mom! She will kill me if she sees this! LOL!

Since I am going back to school I needed to invest in a new computer. PC's have been the only computers I have EVER used and I was desperately in need of something new. I invested in a new MacBook Pro and I am trying to get used to it. It is definitely different from what I am used to, but way better! No more slow start ups, no more Norton Antivirus spyware updates, and hopefully no more problems! We have been having fun playing with the Photo Booth application! Aren't we cute?

My long lost blog!

I haven't blogged in months! Being a Mom has changed my life drastically and I seem to always be doing "Mommy stuff!" But I truly miss my blog. After a post I usually feel so relieved and a little less stressed knowing that I got my thoughts out. Today I got a brand new Mac Book Pro, so hopefully having a "mobile" computer, I can be more in touch with the online world!!! So much to update everyone on! Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas =)

Lolli Cakes!!

Our Halloween Lolli Cake basket!

This is our Halloween basket for $45...seems reasonable to me!!

Financially we are in a whole. Aaron works his booty off and in the end, our bills are barely covered. If I went to work we would spend over $1500 a month in child care because twins are expensive!! I am a full time Mom and part time student that doesn't get a pay check. My buddy Katrina and I have partnered up and have began making Lolli Cakes! It is a new adventure for us and I hope we do well. In less than 24 hours we got 4 orders! I am so happy and hope that our business takes off! If not, at least we have a new hobby!

I know I have been Missing

My boys keep me so busy. People who have "to work" outside the home have a misconception about those who "get to stay home" to take care of their kids. I honestly think my days were way less busy being at a job outside of the home than they are now. I am blessed beyond measure to have a husband who provides enough for me to be able to stay home with my kiddos. But let me tell you, IT IS WORK! Tonight I go back to school at a program through San Francisco State University that caters to those who have full time commitments such as family or work during the day. I have my Associate of Arts degree in General Education and my goal is to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in Youth and Family Services. I am going to go every Monday from 4-10! I am eager to go but sad to leave my kiddos! But I know my awesome hubby will rock it out!

QUITTER

I just realized last week that I am the biggest Quitter I know. I give up on everything that gets challenging for me. I have always tried to portray myself as the girl who finishes what she starts but that is such a lie! I think I started to realize this last week at the gym. I felt fat and gross after not going to the gym for a few weeks and was adamant that when Aaron got home from work, we were going to go. I jumped on the elliptical machine and started going hard! Usually the only thing I focus on is the time. No matter how much of the workout I have left to do, I always stop between 15 and 20 minutes. 15-20 minutes...what the heck..that is NOTHING! So I started one of the little workout programs they have on the machine and I finished it. It made me feel so good and I felt like I had the best workout ever. I gave it 100% and it truly made me feel good after wards. A few weeks ago I tried out this bootcamp class at the gym. I wanted to do something that would help me drop the pounds fast! Of course I KNEW it was going to be hard...hello, its called BOOTCAMP! So I am halfway through the class and as we are doing laps around the gym I make a b-line for the door and leave. What the heck? I just quit because it was hard. I feel like I quit at more than just exercising in my life but this revelation I had on the elliptical made me realize I need to toughen up and stick it out. I don't want to have my kids mimic me and turn into quitters too! So this week I am going to put 100% effort into anything and everything I attempt! Wish me luck bloggers!
